Back to work
So, I am back to working at the school. They called and told me I would be an inclusion aide between June E and Katie P. Go for the meeting on Tuesday and someone else is there saying she is the inclusion aide for them - well, they didn't call and say don't come, so I have a job somewhere right?!?!!? Mary Beth Motz comes over and tells me I am with her - she is a doll - so I will have playground duty with the little Angels, but that is OK. The super indendant feels the urge to ramble on about shit that has nothing to do with anything - blah blah blah - on to the class to get ready for the kids to come in Wednesday - Looking at the list of kids in the school with issues - there are 6 in our class alone - Oh, this is going to be a great year. What has happend from then on. We have two girls who are selective Mute - and two who aren't classified that will not speak to us? P - The cutest little boy you have ever seen - P I T A - can't seem to sit in his seat - also has MAJOR food allergies - can't touch wheat, eggs, milk, soy, nuts, dairy and just about anything else - I have to get training to administer an Epi Pen - oh good, C - three years of special ed pre school - but she says she never had a teacher - She hates school because we won't let her play or eat (we only had 2 hour days for the first three days) - throws herself on the ground as we are walking from the playground back to the school (we took a quick trip to show them the equipment) - Meanwhile on the playground F decides to take off - when you try to round him up to bring him back he starts yelling don't touch me - finally the teacher has to pick him up and carry him to the school while he is biting and kicking - where she promptly drops him at the counselors office - mind you today he grabs my arms and puts them around him and tells me he loves me?? Umm - where is the seed of Chucky who was here yesterday?? A little boy who came in with his mom on tuesday and was a horror show, turns out to be the sweetest thing you have ever seen - 3 little spanish girls OMG they are the most adorable little girls - only problem is - they don't speak english - S1 & S2 - Not related - look so much alike that we get them confused - and neither of them speak AT ALL!!! S1 also has severe reactions to bug bites. R has SEVERE allergies to bee stings - throat closes up within 10 seconds - again - epi pen training - what's worse - he isn't a little boy - I can't even phsycally carry him if I have to. What exactly does one do with 25 kids on the playground when you have to watch 2 that may take off, 1 that has issues with bug bites, one that has food allergies, one that has bee sting allergies and 20 that just don't listen?? Monday starts full days and playground after lunch - God give me strength!! Then today I go to get my paycheck - we don't have one for you, you aren't board approved yet - WTF - I am still here - what the hell is that supposed to mean? I can put up with this crap for 3 days, but I have to wait until they decide to pay me. EXCUSE ME!!!! Have you people seen what I have been dealing with? Don't pay me, but make sure you give me an ID so everyone knows who I am when I beat the life out of these little turds.
OK, lets have a positive attitude - they were all just a little nervous these past couple of days - they don't know that they are supposed to listen to the teachers or sit in a chair at some point in the morning. OK, Monday will be better right ? - Right!
